VARI-SOUND
... is a method to design the equivalent of optical devices for sound, based on acoustic metamaterials. Our contributions include: how to design compact acoustic lenses; how to transform a standard speaker into a directionalone; how to build and adjustable focus acoustic lens i.e. the equivalent of a zooming objective for light.
